TIDEWATER ANNOUNCES DEDICATION OF ITS DOVER HEADQUARTERS

DOVER, DELAWARE (June, 2003) -- Tidewater Utilities, Inc., (Tidewater) a leading water utility in southern Delaware, has announced the completion of the construction of its new headquarters in Dover, Delaware. Tidewater has been serving residents throughout Delaware since 1964. It presently serves more than 22,000 customers exclusively south of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal. The dedication of its new 6,500 sq. ft. building in the center of the state reaffirms Tidewater’s commitment to customer service.

“We’re pleased to be establishing our headquarters in Dover,” said Gerard L. Esposito, President of Tidewater Utilities, Inc. “This location will allow us to better manage our statewide operations while assisting customers more efficiently,” added Mr. Esposito.

An official dedication of the new facility and a ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at the new facility 1100 South Little Creek Road in Dover. Delaware Governor Ruth Ann Minner, and James Hutchinson, Mayor of the City of Dover, are expected to participate in the dedication festivities. Delaware businesses, dignitaries and friends have been invited to share in this event. 

Tidewater Utilities, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Middlesex Water Company, delivered 1.5 billion gallons of water to customers in 2002. The Company operates over 210 wells, more than 100 water plants, and serves over 240 communities throughout the state.
